No doubt handwritten practice is important. Even though many schools are now removing handwriting lessons, I try to keep students interested in this activity. I realize, of course, that we are now changing our focus to typing because we live in a world of technology, but handwriting is a skill that has been around for centuries, whereas typing is only a few dozen (I am not talking about the writing practice when typewriters were used, but the common everyday practice of taking notes in a typewritten form).
