\nI’m at that giddy moment just after\u00a0I’ve uploaded book and cover files to the printer, and am waiting for the proof copy. Let’s just say, cartwheels are happening somewhere, even as I sit here, soberly typing.<\/p>\n

This particular book has been in the back of my mind for a long time \u2014 about 25 years, to be exact. You see, I used it and liked it for our oldest son, but when I went back to order one for the next child, it was out of print. I found other good resources, but nothing that was in a streamlined one-volume course.<\/p>\n

\"Perfect<\/a>Over the past ten years or so, I’ve searched online\u00a0for the author, Caroline Joy Adams, hoping to ask about the book, but didn’t find her until a few months ago. She has been a delight to work with, and I was able to purchase the rights to this lovely\u00a0book.\u00a0Finally, after being out of print since 1990 or so, I’m happy to tell you that Perfect Reading, Beautiful Handwriting<\/em><\/strong> is on its way, and I’m so thankful!<\/p>\n

You can read all about the lovely PRBH book at the website \u2014 Everyday-Education.com<\/a> \u2014 and take advantage of the rest of the 2015 Thanksgiving sale there. PRBH is listed as out of stock in the print version because we don’t yet have our print copies in hand, but we are offering it in the bundle format so you can take advantage of the sale if you wish to. You would<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving day<\/strong>. If you don’t have plans to gather with family or friends, consider helping at one of the community Thanksgiving dinners that are taking place across the country. These dinners are a blessing for people who might not otherwise have a delicious meal in a warm place, and it’s a privilege to share in providing them.<\/p>\n

George Herbert’s Thankfulness poem<\/a><\/h2>\n

It would hardly seem like Thanksgiving to me if I didn’t share this wonderful<\/a> poem as I always do. One day I might memorize the whole thing, but for now, it’s the last stanza that echoes in my thoughts throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Not thankful, when it pleaseth me;
\nAs if thy blessings had spare days:

\nThy praise.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
